Fitness - cycling is a good way to keep fit - without the time and expense of using a gym!

Education - while cycling with your child you can talk about things you see and stop almost anywhere to take a closer look. Children can observe the changing seasons, at the same time as learning to use the road.
Time - cycling can be quicker than driving, particularly at peak times.
Economy - regular bicycle care and maintenance is essential for safety, but is much cheaper than that of a car. There are no fuel costs and parking is free too!
Independence - young people who have the support of adults with regular cycling can achieve a level of independence without having to always to reply on lifts from drivers.
