MOT testing

Southampton City Council provides an MOT test service from the vehicle workshops based at the Town Depot.

Tests are carried out to the council's own vehicles and is available to businesses and members of the public for the testing of their vehicles.

The Vehicle Operator Services Agency will carry out periodic checks on MOT test facilities to ensure that the premises and testers meet the current MOT standards.

MOT testing is of class 4 and 7 vehicles. Repair work is not undertaken.
