Welcome to Southampton City Council's Parking Service. Keeping parking affordable

1. All day on-street parking is now available in the following areas; West Quay Industrial Estate, Ocean Village, Crosshouse and Chapel. See our on-street Grey Zone for further information.
2. We have introduced a free 10 minute grace period in our on street pay and display bays in the City centre.
3. We have extended the free period for on street parking on Sundays, Public and Bank Holidays. The charging period now starts at 1300 on street only. See the news item for more information. See below for more details on charging periods.
4. There has been no increase in parking charges in the past two years, and in some places we have been able to reduce parking charges. See our Parking Discounts page for details.
5. We do not charge for evening parking after 6pm on street (unlike other authorities around us).

Charging periods

• In car parks parking charges apply Monday to Saturday 0800 to 1800. On Sundays, Public and Bank Holidays from 12 noon to 1800.
• Evening charges apply 1800 to 12 midnight every day of the year in our multi-storey car parks.
• On street parking charges apply Monday to Saturday 0800 to 1800. On Sundays, Public and Bank Holidays from 1300 to 1800.
• Parking is free on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.
• The parking restrictions in most residents' zones (but not all) apply between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
• For restrictions in any given area please refer to the signs displayed at the location.
