Southampton Port operates a vehicle booking system for loading/ unloading.
If you find yourself arriving at the port earlier than your booked slot there are no facilities at the docks to park up. Drivers can telephone the vehicle booking system helpline on 023 8070 6300 to change their slot or make use of the motorway services at Rownhams on the M27 between junctions 3 and 4.
Currently Southampton City Council provide 24 hours free parking for vehicles not hauling hazardous loads in Woolston and District Lorry Park also known as Oakbank Lorry park (SO19 7QT), under the Itchen Bridge.

We would urge all HGV drivers visiting the city and having to stay overnight to observe the restrictions for parking in the area they choose, especially any yellow lines, or if parking is likely to obstruct the free flow of traffic down the road, as this has to be kept clear for emergency vehicles.
