Some areas of the city are resident’s parking zones and you will need to obtain a permit if you live or own a business in one of these areas and wish to park a vehicle in the permit holder parking places. Please use the Parking permit zones link on the left of this page to find out if your street is within a resident’s parking zone.
This page gives you information about parking permits and how to apply for them. The issue of a parking permit does not guarantee you a parking space.
It is the permit holder’s responsibility to ensure that a valid permit is displayed at all times when a vehicle is parked in a resident’s parking zone. A Penalty Charge Notice may be issued if a vehicle is parked without a valid permit. Further information about the various residents’ parking schemes can be found on the application forms below.
If you require a parking permit you will need to complete an application form. You can do this by either printing out the appropriate form below or by contacting us and requesting a form. Completed forms together with the appropriate supporting documents, and payment if applicable should be sent to City Parking and Patrol Services at the address below.

Please note that if purchasing your permits using a credit card there will be an additional surcharge of two and a half percent. There is no surcharge is purchased using a debit card or cheque.
