20% off Parking in the City

We have slashed the price of parking in the city by 20% to support our residents and businesses during the recession. The parking discount is for selected car parks and applies to parking Season Tickets and Pay As You Park cards. Details of where the car parks are, the different discounts and how to apply for them are listed below.

20% off - Pay as You Park card

The Pay As You Park cards can be used in any of the city council's multi storey car parks (except West Park multi storey car park) (see downloadable map for locations). They are designed for less frequent visitors. Like a mobile phone top up card you charge them up with your credit or debit card at the pay stations in the car park. You simply present your Pay as You Park card at the entry barrier to gain access, and at the exit barrier to pay for your stay and exit the car park.

You will automatically get a 20% discount on the normal prices when you pay with this card.

Pay As You Park cards can be purchased from £50 (or more if preferred) and topped up whenever you need to. Pay As You Park cards are great for people who sometimes would prefer not to drive and who cycle, catch the bus or the train.

Infrequent users may wish to obtain a ‘nil value’ Pay as You Park card which can be topped up with as little as £10.00. To obtain a ‘nil value’ Pay as You Park card use the special ‘nil value…’ application form below and return it to the address on the application form marked for the attention of Jas Sahota.

20% off - Season Parking Tickets

Our season ticket can be used in a number of the city council's off road car parks (see downloadable map for locations). Ideal if you work or live in the city centre, this Season Ticket means you can pay up front for anything from a month up to a year. You simply display the season ticket on your parked car.

You can now buy a monthly five day Season Ticket for £136, this is a reduction of £34 on the original price of £170. Season Tickets are also available for three, six and twelve month durations and can be used on up to four vehicles, enabling you to share the cost with colleagues.

Parking charges

Centrally located Park Mark safety accredited parking all day for just £5.00 at the Marlands MSCP.

810 spaces. Charges apply Monday to Saturday 0800 to 1800 and on Sundays 12 noon to 1800 every day except Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. Evening charges apply 1800 to 12 midnight every day of the year.

The special £5.00 all day parking fee in this car park has been calculated based on a vehicle entering the car park at 0800 when the daily charging period commences and staying the full 10 hours until 1800 when daily charging period ends and evening charging period begins.
The maximum you will be charged for parking during the period ‘daily charges’ would be £5.00
If you exit the car park after 1800 you will have to pay the additional evening charge.
A pre-paid Marlands Decrementing Card is available for purchase for regular users of the car park. Please download an application form available at the end of this page.
