Warning and Regulatory Signs
Southampton City Council as the highway authority installs and maintains all warning and regulatory traffic signs, except for illuminated signs that are dealt with by Southern Electric (SEC Contracting) and non-illuminated signs by Balfour Beatty. Please call Actionline using the contact details below for reporting faults.
Event Signing
In the first instance contact a Motoring organisation or other reputable supplier who will plan the signing, which they will then pass to the Council for approval.
Local Direction signs
Used for directions to locations such as Industrial Estates within the City Boundary. For reasons of clarity and enhancing the street scene, only a very small number of key destinations can be shown on any given route. There is a charge for the provision of a direction sign.
Tourist Destination signs
Restrictions on destinations apply and those selected will generally be recognised major tourist attractions that are fully accessible with parking and open to the public without booking. A scale of charges apply to this service.
Street Name Plates
If you have seen a broken or missing street nameplate you can report it using Fix My Street.
