Daisy Yeats at Trees For Life 2008

Thousands of native trees have already been planted as part of the council's commitment to ensure that the city remains a green and pleasant place to live. Watch the woodland grow with your child and make a positive contribution to the environment in which your child grows up.

This is a unique scheme pioneered by Southampton City Council. We invite parents or guardians living in Southampton to celebrate their child's birth by planting trees in new areas of local woodland.

Please register for this scheme and receive an invitation to the tree planting day. A certificate signed by the Mayor will also be provided.

The planting session will be 10 am until 1 pm. Due to winter weather it is advisable to wear a waterproof coat and wellington boots.
