The Sheltering Home in Liverpool sent two parties of children a year to Canada. Frank left Liverpool on 22nd February 1906. He travelled on the SS Tunisian, a vessel of the Allan Line which was used to transport parties of children from Liverpool to Canada. The journey usually took around 10 days.
