Welcome to the Arts and Heritage Learning Team pages.
The Arts and Heritage team provide a safe and welcoming environment in which people can learn about the exhibitions and collections on display. There is also the provision for educational workshops in all our venues or held at your school. All our activities are designed to suit the specific needs of your group. We take a flexible approach to discovery sessions and workshops, which can link into topics that you are studying.
All educational visits must be pre-booked, even if you visit as a self-guided group. We advise booking early to secure your preferred date for a visit. For discussion-led discovery sessions of the museums and gallery please contact the learning team.
Why not try our on-line enquiry form at the top of this page. Fill in your details, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Other Activities
We also offer a wide range of activities for adults, children and families throughout the year. Our activities are interesting, fun, creative, and sometimes challenging.
Children can also join one of our monthly art clubs; Tiny Treasures (Under 5's), Mini Monets (3-6 years), The Young Ones (7-11 years) and our Youth Forum (14-21 years). The Youth Forum offers exciting opportunities for young people, including Arts Award. Arts Award aspires to support any young person to enjoy the arts and develop creative leadership skills.
All our events our listed in Southampton City Councils What's On Pages, and in our Museums Events and Art Gallery Events pages.
