Southampton's first museum was established in 1912. Many objects have been collected since then, but it is not possible to display them all. The bulk of the material that is not currently on display or on loan to other museums, is housed in the Collections Management Centre where it is available for research.
Our collections team manages all the city's museums collections with the exception of archaeological collections.
