Children, Young People and Family Activities

For Children's activities please note:
All children under eight must be accompanied by an adult during gallery activities, unless Wider Family Learning (WFL) Sessions, where ALL children must be accompanied.

There is also a deposit of £5 for each place booked on a Wider Family Learning Activity. This deposit is fully refundable once the session is finished and the child or children have attended. Please note that cancellations must be received seven working days prior to the event for a full refund to be given. Cancellations after this period will not be refunded. Children attending all day workshops should wear old clothes and bring a packed lunch. All events must be booked unless otherwise stated.

June Half Term

Friday 8th June / One session: Art Gallery and Sea City 10.30am – 3.00pm £15
Enjoy a hands-on daylong workshop creating boats of Titanic proportions with artist Ali Eales. The day includes a visit to Sea City to see the development of boats and then a practical workshop planning, designing and building your boat at the City Art Gallery.

Wild Style T – shirts (13-16)
Tuesday 5 June / 10.30 – 3.30pm /Art Gallery / £20
Wear your own piece of urban art! Learn about stencil art and work with artist Stu Rodda to design and make your own stencil, then using spray paint, transfer your designs onto your t-shirt. Please bring your own plain light coloured T-Shirt.

Do you want to see your ideas influence decision making? Come along and find out about what the Arts and Heritage Youth Forum has to offer you. Our youth forum meets once a month to discuss new ideas, exhibitions and projects. Join us to have your opinions heard and contribute your ideas to Southampton’s Arts and Heritage.
