Children and Young People

Children covered in paint
Welcome to the web pages for children and young people. You will find information about our services – from help with homework to reading advice for parents.

It's free to join the library and you can borrow 30 items including books, films on DVD and stories on CD and MP3. We do not charge fines for books returned late as long as they are on a child's card and we run weekly storytime and rhymetime sessions at most of our libraries. Don't worry if your child/toddler accidentally damages a book we won't charge you a penny. You can also reserve items on loan to another customer for free.
