Libraries out and about

Bringing the library to you!
We can visit your pre-school, day nursery or Mother and Toddler group etc. We will read stories, organise craft activities and there will be an opportunity to join the library.

Group leaders can also join the library and borrow up to 30 items for 6 weeks on a special group library card and there are no fines to pay if books are returned late. Ask at your local library for details.

Or why not arrange for the The Booksplus mobile library to visit your group. Staff on board can offer books to borrow fun story times, activity sessions and special events for all the family during the school holidays. There will be the opportunity to share stories have a chance to share stories.

Schools
If you would like staff to visit your school and talk to classes about the library and what services/activities we offer children and young people. It would be great if they had the opportunity to visit the library. We can:

• Introduce everyone to the library and staff
• Arrange for your whole class to have their own library card.
• Introduce the class to our great range of books

If you would like staff to visit your group/school or you would like your class/group to visit the library please contact the Children's Librarian at your local library.

Story sacks
To bring stories to life, staff use special story sacks that include props to help tell the story. These are ideal to use with groups of children and can be borrowed from the library.
