Parks Events

Spring is in the air and our parks and green spaces are bursting with new life. Come and enjoy some of our amazing open spaces at one of the many events happening during the spring and early summer.

Southampton is blessed with a variety of open spaces, from small play parks to the wilder open space of the Greenways.

There are many events taking place in Southampton's parks throughout the year. Enjoy a guided walk through the central parks during your lunch break. Find out about how we look after the Common on one of the Common Management walks held on the first Tuesday of the month at 2pm. The walk will take in areas that are managed to protect or enhance the habitat but if you have a particular area of interest we will do our best to include that area in the walk.

• Events in the parks are free (except where indicated).
• Common walks start from The Hawthorns Centre.
• Central Parks walks meet at the Fountain outside the Art Gallery.
• Old Cemetery events are run by The Friends of Southampton Old Cemetery and meet at the main gate at the end of Cemetery Road. Tel: 07538888655.
• Booking is not required (except where indicated) for any of the events.
• Please check with us beforehand to ensure the event is still running.
