Sport and Recreation
Sport and recreation services operate a diverse range of leisure venues across the city, offering first class facilities to all residents and visitors.

Our venues offer Olympic standard swimming and diving facilities, multi-purpose indoor sports halls, state of the art health and fitness suites, athletics facilities and grass and synthetic sports pitches

Southampton Municipal Golf Course is still considered to be one of the best pay and play courses in the south, while our two outdoor activity centres offer a wide range of activities including sailing, powerboating, kayaking and climbing.

Sport Relief - The Battle of the Cats!

From Monday 15 to Sunday 21 March, Chambers the Cat and Tickles the Tiger embark on a week of crazy events to complete their 30 minutes of exercise a day.

Teams from Chamberlayne and Bitterne leisure centres will participate on a daily basis in thrilling activities of 30 minutes to raise money for Sport Relief. Activities include: canoeing, new age curling, the Sport Relief Mile and much more!
