About Sports Development
The Sports Development unit can help you get active, find a sports club, get qualified or find a volunteering opportunity.

If you are a sports club we can help you develop, become accredited, get funding and get your coaches qualified.

The Sports Development team is here to support you to get more active. We are based at the Civic Centre and offer information and advice on:

- Local Sports Clubs and Sporting Opportunities
- Sports Club Accreditation Schemes
- Support to Sports Clubs and help with developing your club
- Coach Education Courses
- Advice and assistance with applications for funding
- Coordination of Youth Games teams

We have three main Sports Development Officers in Southampton City Council who are responsible for:
