Public Transport

Night Bus
End a great night out with a guaranteed ride! The night bus service provides a safe alternative journey home from the city centre visiting locations across the region including Eastleigh, Hedge End, Millbrook, Shirley, Netley, Bitterne, Thornhill, Waterside and Winchester.
Cycling and walking
Cycling and walking are good for your health and good for the environment. The council is working to develop an integrated transport system with cycling and walking being key components in encouraging more sustainable ways of travelling.
Parking permits
In some areas of the city there are residents parking zones. If you live or own a business in one of these areas you will need a parking permit to allow you to park on the road. This page gives you information on parking permits and how to apply. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space.

Disabled persons parking
Southampton City Council provides a number of parking spaces around the city for blue badge holders. This page gives you information on parking for disabled drivers, or those transporting disabled passengers.
