Highways Customer Charter
Highways and Parking Services are continually looking to improve the way we provide services to our customers and have produced 2 Customer Charters that list how we aim to do this.

High Street Refurbishment

Roads, street and pavements
Southampton City Council regularly and carefully maintains streets and pavements in the city on the following pages you will find information about what we do and how you can report a problem.
Street scene
The street scene is the streets and paths where we walk to the bus stop or school; the parks and open spaces where we walk and exercise; the play areas and town centres where we spend our leisure time, the car parks, roads and transport infrastructure which we use to access employment and leisure.
Cycling and walking
Cycling and walking are good for your health and good for the environment. The council is working to develop an integrated transport system with cycling and walking being key components in encouraging more sustainable ways of travelling.

Road Safety
The Road Safety Team aims to contribute towards the reduction of road traffic casualties in Southampton through Education, Training and publicity programmes.
