Parking permits
In some areas of the city there are residents parking zones. If you live or own a business in one of these areas you will need a parking permit to allow you to park on the road. This page gives you information on parking permits and how to apply. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space.
Who can use this service:
You will need proof of your address and car ownership.
Charges:
No Charge is currently made for the first Resident's permit issued to an address or for Visitor's and Essential Visitor's permits. (Except for Zone 17 where 1 permit is available per property at a cost of £57.50). In some areas provision exists for a second resident's permit to be issued for which a charge of £57.50 per year will apply. If you have a business within a residents parking zone or area a tradesperson working within the zone you may be able to purchase a Business Permit. Business Permits are £110 for 4 months and £288 per year. Temporary Business Permits are £13 per 2 weeks. Permits may not be available in all areas so please contact us for further information.
