Season ticket guidance: Evening and Weekend for residents

For residents living within the city centre pay and display zone to park on street in selected pay and display bays in the Outer (Green or Grey) tariff zones. If you are unsure if your property is within the boundary, please contact us.

You can apply for an Evening and Weekend season ticket, valid for evenings and all day on weekends and bank/public holidays.

Also, your vehicle must:

  • Not exceed five metres in length
  • Not weigh more than 3.5 tonnes
  • Not be adapted to carry more than eight passengers, excluding the driver (not drawing a trailer)
  • Not be a motorcycle

How many season tickets can I apply for?

Season tickets are restricted to one vehicle per applicant and a maximum of two season tickets per official postal address. This can be either two of the same season ticket or one of each season ticket.


In which car parks can I use this season ticket?

You can park on street in selected pay and display bays in the Outer (Green or Grey) tariff zone.

You can also use our parking map to find streets in the Outer Green/Grey tariff zone by checking the ‘On Street City Pay & Display’ option. You can also check the label on the nearest pay and display machine to see the tariff zone.

Always check the signs for information about parking restrictions.


How much do season tickets cost?

Valid for 12 months:

  • An Evening and Weekend Season Ticket costs £300 (£30 for electric vehicles)

Order resident evening and weekend season ticket

An administration charge will be made to replace a lost/damaged Season Ticket.

A refund for every complete unexpired month may be made upon surrender of a season ticket for which payment was originally made to the council. The refund will be made to the person who made the payment by cheque.


WARNING: Misuse of a season ticket is fraud. We will investigate all reports of the misuse of permits, season tickets and parking passes.

Section 115 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act, 1984

Provides penalties for any person who makes a false statement to obtain a season ticket or with intent to deceive, forges, or alters, or uses, or lends to, or allows to be used, or has in their possession any document so closely resembling any such season ticket as to be calculated to deceive.
