Postal voting

If you are unable to attend your polling station to cast your vote or do not wish to go to the polling station, you can have your ballot paper sent to you.

You can apply for a postal vote online at apply for a postal vote. Guidance on how to do this is available.

Alternatively, you can download and complete a paper postal vote application form on the Electoral Commission website. Please return this to:

If you are a registered voter in the city of Southampton, you may apply to vote by post at any time during the year. However, if you apply for a specific election your application must be completed (online) or delivered to Electoral Services (paper) no later than the deadline published on the relevant election timetable.

Postal ballot papers are usually sent out 7-10 days before the day of the poll.
