A monitoring service with access to additional kit (referral only). Includes home unit, pendant alarm, access to our 24/7 call centre, our emergency responder service and any additional care technology identified during an assessment.
The City Telecare team has a whole range of care technology products that may help support you.
This additional kit is only currently available if you are referred by a social worker or health professional. If you feel that you would benefit from extra support at home then speak to your social worker or care manager about a referral to connected care.
Our trained assessors will come to your home, assess your needs and install the necessary kit there and then.
What does it cost?
There is a one-off equipment installation charge, and a key safe charge if you need one to be installed for you by the service. You will then pay an ongoing service charge dependent on the service option that you sign up for.
- Installation charge - £10 within Southampton city boundaries, £20 up to 20 miles outside the city boundary
- Key safe charge (if required) - £40

You will be sent an invoice for any charges after the service is up and running, or you can choose to pay by direct debit. To find out whether you are eligible to receive this service without paying VAT please contact the City Telecare team.
We also provide a service for those with an identified care need, the cost of installation and subscription to the service will form part of your care package. Speak to your social worker or care manager for more information.
