Affordable Housing Framework

Following approval at Cabinet on 14 March 2022, we have now launched a new Affordable Housing Framework at an online event on 22 March 2022.

The new framework proposal sets out a new strategy for delivering affordable homes, general needs and specialist housing, across the city including:

  • Social rented
  • Affordable rented
  • Shared ownership

It is anticipated the framework will be in place by autumn 2022.

A separate report will be taken back to Cabinet later this year to seek approval for the schedule of council-owned sites to be included in the initial programme.
