New texting reminder service for repairs

We recently made some changes to the repairs service to make it even more convenient for you to book and receive repairs in your home

Now, when you book a repair, we will send you a text to confirm details of the appointment and further reminder texts both the morning before and the morning of an appointment. Don’t worry if you don’t have a mobile phone number, as we will post you a card with a reminder of the date and time when trade staff will visit your home to carry out the repair.

The texting reminder service is just one of the ways we’re working to provide a better service. We also provide digital certificates for gas, electrical and other health and safety work. Customer surveys can also be carried out online. Please make sure you complete the digital survey after work has been completed in your home. Your feedback is essential in helping to further improve the service.

We’ve also invested in new technology to help us complete more jobs each day, cut the number of visits needed to each home, reduce waiting times and increase value for money. Thanks to new and improved mobile devices, our trade staff are now better able to plan and hopefully deal with repairs on a single visit. Being able to see the next day’s jobs on their device means staff can load the correct materials and equipment on the van and ensure the right tradesperson with the correct skill level required is assigned to each job.
