The Board considered the report of the Director of Public Health outlining the statement of the needs for pharmaceutical services in Southampton.

Robin Poole was present and with the consent of the Chair addressed the meeting.  The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment report will form the basis of a 60-day statutory consultation.  The main finding of the report is that the number, distribution and choice of pharmaceutical services meet the current and future needs of the population, therefore no identified need for improvements or better access to pharmaceutical services are identified.

RESOLVED that the draft of the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment be approved for consultation.
