Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Councillors Morrell, Pope, Thomas and Tucker.

The following motion to be moved and seconded:-

That in pursuance of Section 249 (1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the office of Honorary Alderman be conferred on former Councillor Peter Baillie in recognition of his eminent service to the City and his name be recorded in the Roll of Honorary Alderman. 

NOTE:

Under the provisions of Section 249 (5) and (1) of the Local Government Act 1972 these resolutions, to be effected, must be passed by not less than two thirds of the members voting at the meeting. 

RESOLVED unanimously:

That in pursuance of the provisions of Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the office of Honorary Alderman be conferred on former Councillor Peter Baillie in recognition of his eminent service to the City and his name be recorded in the Roll of Honorary Aldermen.
