Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Scrutiny Manager detailing the Call-in of Executive Decision CAB 25/26 48410 - St Mary's Community and Leisure Centre.
Councillor Kataria, Cabinet Member for Compliance and Leisure and James Marshall, Director of Customer, Leisure and Regulatory Services were in attendance and with the consent of the Chair addressed the meeting.
Discussion took place in confidential session.
RESOLVED:
(i) To advise the Decision Maker that the Scrutiny Committee does not recommend that the decision be reconsidered and that it can therefore be implemented without delay, (ii) That, to provide additional assurance, reflecting concerns raised about the lack of information provided to Scrutiny and Cabinet to make an informed decision with regards to St Mary’s Community and Leisure Centre, when taking future decisions of this nature appropriate financial and business planning information is included within the Cabinet decision report and made available to Scrutiny; and (iii) That the Executive commits to continuing to provide oversight and support to Testlands to reduce risk and increase the likelihood of the decision proving to be a success. |
