To approve and sign as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday, 28th May, 2013 and to deal with any matters arising, attached.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting of the Chief Officer Employment Panel held on 11th June, 2013 be approved and signed as a correct record.

Full Council decision-making process

To discuss whether a Special Full Council meeting will be needed to deal with the appointment of a Chief Executive.

 

Minutes:

The Panel considered whether a Special Full Council Meeting would be needed to deal with the appointment of a Chief Executive.

 

RESOLVED that the appointment to the post of Chief Executive Officer be dealt with at the next Council Meeting scheduled to be held on the 17th July, 2013.

Chair to move that in accordance with the Council's Constitution, specifically the Access to Information Procedure Rules contained within the Constitution, the press and public be excluded from the meeting in respect of the following item

Appointment of Chief Executive

Confidential report of the Head of Legal, HR and Democratic Services detailing considerations in regard to the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer for the Council, attached.

Minutes:

The confidential report of the Head of Legal, HR and Democratic Services was submitted detailing considerations in regard to the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer for the Council (copy of report circulated with the agenda and appended to signed minutes).

 

RESOLVED that the four candidates identified by the Panel, from the recommended short list of candidates for the position of Chief Executive as presented by the Council’s recruitment consultants Berwick, be approved.
