Springwell School Expansion Phase 2

To consider the report of a Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Social Care - seeking to approve a commitment to spend £9.6m for the expansion of Springwell Special School. 

 

Note:  Consideration of the report is being undertaken in line with Paragraph 15 of the Council’s Access to Information Procedure Rules.  This will allow Cabinet to recommend to Council the commitment so as to not further delay this project and subsequently increase the associated costs in terms of temporary accommodation, out of city placements/transport and tribunals. Any delay may result in insufficient special school places by September 2017.
