THE DECISION

Having read the report, including its recommendations and proposals, and following consideration of all other relevant matters, the decision-maker made the following decision: -

 

1.

to approve, in accordance with Financial Procedure Rule B25, the addition of £220,000 to the Health and Social Care Capital Programme to cover expenditure on the following three schemes:

 

 

Scheme A - The provision and replacement of essential appliances and equipment in buildings used for the delivery of social care services (£70,000);

 

 

Scheme B - Health and Safety Works (£70,000);

 

 

Scheme C - Improvements to Health and Social Care buildings to meet registration and inspection requirements (£80,000); and.

 

2.

to approve, in accordance with Financial Procedure Rule B27, capital expenditure totalling £170,000 on the above schemes in 2005/6 as follows:

 

 

Scheme A - £55,000,

Scheme B - £55,000; and

Scheme C - £60,000.

 

 

 

 

REASONS FOR THE DECISION

To enable funding allocated to the Directorate of Health and Social Care through the property incentivisation scheme to be expended on priority capital projects.

 

 

 

DETAILS OF ANY ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS

No alternative capital funding is available to meet these requirements that are considered essential.
