Election of Vice-Chair

To elect the Vice Chair for the Municipal Year 2020/21.

RESOLVED that Councillor Renyard be appointed as Vice-Chair for the 2020/21 municipal year.

Report of the Executive Director – Communities, Culture and Homes detailing the review of the Statement of Licensing Policy and outcomes of the consultation on the policy and Late Night Levy.

The Committee considered the report of the Executive Director Communities, Culture and Homes which sought to review the Statement of Licensing Policy and to consider the options for the Late Night Levy, following public consultation.

 

Southampton City Council Officers Phil Bates, Licensing Manager and Andrew Saunders, Senior Policy, Partnerships and Strategic Planning Officer, Giles Semper, Executive Director of Business Improvement District Limited and Gary Bennetton, Director of Go Southampton were in attendance and with the consent of the Chair addressed the meeting.

 

RESOLVED that the Committee recommends to Council that:-

 

(i)  The amendments to the Southampton Statement of Licensing Policy 2021-2026 as detailed in the report be approved; and

(ii)  The Late Night Levy arrangements cease from 1 April 2021.
