Making God's House Tower Historically Relevant for Tourists and Children
We the undersigned petition the council to …... move the Henry VIII cannon presently located at the Tudor Museum to God's House Tower. At the moment the Tudor House Museum covers a wide range of historical themes mainly connected to trade and commerce in Southampton in which the cannon is almost surplus to requirements. In contrast God's House Tower lacks a focal point for tourists and children. By moving the cannon to God's House Tower Southampton City Council will give the structure the appropriate historical military context for which the building was originally designed.
