Mayor supports new stop smoking service

Registered pharmacy-based advice and support to help you quit

The Right Worshipful Mayor of Southampton Councillor Peter Baillie has created a video with our Public Health Service and local pharmacist Ravinder Sangha that explains how our new, pharmacy-based service can help you stop smoking.

Stoptober -- the national month long effort to help you quit smoking -- is the perfect time to visit a registered pharmacist and get the advice you need to stop smoking.

Southampton City Council is working with registered pharmacies to provide free, confidential support for smokers to quit. Several pharmacies across the city are now offering free nicotine replacement therapies (NRT) and friendly support. More pharmacies are preparing to offer the service too.
