Applying for a Blue Badge
You can apply online for a Blue Badge as an individual driver or passenger. The council administers the Blue Badge scheme for the Southampton area on behalf of the Department for Transport.
You can also print out an application for an individual Blue Badge and return in person or by post to the Blue Badge Team, Post Room, Civic Centre, Southampton, SO14 7LY.
Organisations who regularly transport 12 disabled people or more can apply for an organisational Blue Badge.
If your application for a Blue Badge is declined you will need to wait six months before you can re-apply unless your condition has deteriorated substantially.

Collecting your Blue Badge
You will have to collect your Blue Badge in person or provide details of the person who will collect on your behalf from the Gateway. These details should be included on the application form. If your application is successful you or the named representative will be contacted to arrange a suitable date for collection. You will be required to bring in proof of identity and your previous badges if applicable and the fee.
Please note that Blue Badges will not be issued if proof of identity is not provided or previous badges are not surrendered at the time of collection.
