    Biography:

    Councillor Jacqui Rayment has represented Bevois Ward in Southampton as a Labour Councillor since 2002.  She has been a Councillor since 1997 and has held a number of Portfolios which included a range of Council Services including Environment and Transport, Community Safety, Health and Well Being, Adult Social Care and Enforcement she also chaired the SCC Change Board. She was also Deputy Leader of the Council from May 2016 until 2021.

    Having been born in Southampton, Jacqui knows the city and its diverse communities well, and has worked to support many local residents with the issues that concern them. 

    She recognises the value of both partners and Council working together to tackle the big issues that concern people who live and work in the Bevois Ward, and the wider Southampton Area.

    Jacqui is married with grown up children and grandchildren and believes in fighting for a fairer society for all with good quality housing, job opportunities, and health equality.

    In 2006 she was elected as Chair of the Hampshire Police Authority until its demise in 2012, having served on the board since 1997.
