“We are pleased to report that there have been notable improvements in recycling collection performance. The average delay for recycling collections on domestic wheelie bin rounds has now been reduced to just one day. This is a significant improvement compared to the delay of just over ten days observed a fortnight ago.

“In addition, the performance of general waste collection, which remains a priority over recycling collections, has followed a similar upward trend. The average delay for general waste collections currently stands at half a day which showcases a noticeable improvement.

“While we are encouraged by these positive developments, our work to further improve and restore a reliable service to all areas of the city is ongoing. We remain committed to ensuring a smooth and efficient recycling collection experience for our residents.

“We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Our goal is to provide a reliable waste collection service to all residents in the community, and we will continue to work towards achieving this objective. We thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a clean and sustainable environment for our city.

"Please remember to report any missed bin collections online. I extend my apologies again for any inconvenience this ongoing situation may have caused."
