The Employment Support Team will be there to offer support to people to find the job they want, for this event and beyond. Through upskilling peoples’ CVs, developing their interview skills and generally increasing their confidence, the Employment Support Team work in a person-centred way to help improve peoples’ employability.

We support a broad range of residents with specialised services for council tenants (T.E.E.M), parents (PATH), young people (Young Persons Employment Hub) and neurodivergent individuals (Solent Get Into Employment) through one-to-one support and a wide range of work clubs.

For employers, the Jobs Fair is a valuable opportunity to promote their business and save time and costs by meeting potential employees face-to-face. If you would like to register your interest in exhibiting at the next Jobs Fair, please contact the Employment Support Team.

Councillor Toqeer Kataria, Cabinet Member for Communities and Customer Engagement at Southampton City Council, said:

“After two years of virtual events, the council’s Employment Support Team is excited to be running our upcoming Jobs Fair in-person again. UK businesses are currently struggling to fill vacancies and Southampton is no exception, so we hope that job seekers will drop-in and seize this opportunity with both hands.

“I encourage everyone across the city to take advantage of this great opportunity and promote within your communities so we can help as many people as possible.”
