This event, delivered by the Southern Sustainability Partnership, is set to be the largest free green event of its kind in the city. With stalls from sustainable businesses and organisations, visitors can shop, see the latest green transport solutions, watch demonstrations, and ask experts questions on greener living and climate change.

Southampton’s Big Green Event is a free family-friendly event with something for all ages to enjoy. The day will host many stalls, including partners from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and the Environment Centre. Visitors can also explore the co-event, Big Green Wheels, which will host green transport options such as electric and hybrid cars, extending to the Guildhall Square.

Councillor Eamonn Keogh, Cabinet member for Environment and Transport, is excited to host Southampton’s Big Green Event, as it helps underpin the green ambitions of the city. He said:

"This year's event promises to be full of ideas and support to help us make changes to live, work, play, and travel more sustainably. Best of all, it is free to attend!"

Southampton City Council has appointed The Southern Sustainability Partnership, the team behind commercial events in the city, including The Big Sustainability Expo and the Big Sustainability Awards previously held at St. Mary’s Stadium. Lynda Daniels, Director at The Southern Sustainability Partnership, is thrilled to be invited back to host this year's event and has been working hard to get businesses and organisations across the city involved.

Join us on 17 June between 11am and 3.30pm at the O2 Guildhall and Guildhall Square, Southampton, for the Big Green Event. Entry is free, find out more by watching this video or by going to the event page.
