Do you live in a property once owned by the council? Before you carry out any work to a tree on your property, you must first obtain our permission by using the form
Works to trees subject to a deed of covenant
You must also submit a plan with your application.
All properties that were once owned by us have a deed of covenant that clearly states the legal responsibility of the owner. This is to safeguard the future protection of trees on council land after the sale of the land.
Purchasers must not fell, top or lop any trees on the property without prior consent from the council.
