Erect scaffolding or hoarding on the highway
The term 'highway' includes roads, pavements and verges.
Who can apply?
Contractors who hold £10 million public liability insurance may apply for a licence.
The application form must be completed by the company who holds the £10 million public liability insurance and we will issue the licence approval to this company.
Fees
For new scaffolding and hoarding applications
£481.58 minimum. This includes:
- £152.90 licence fee
- Pre and post inspections, two at £70.21 each (£140.42 total)
- £152.90 deposit
- Weekly inspection £35.36 per week
The deposit is refundable.
This licence is renewable weekly at £35.36 per week.
For a new portable cabin or storage container licence
£369.79 licence fee.
