Your new ‘one stop shop’ for all housing queries

Confused with which number to call and who to speak to about a housing query? To make it as simple as possible to contact us, we have launched a new single phone number and email address for any housing or estate issues

No more need to worry about emailing or calling different teams or searching for the correct contact details. Simply call 023 8083 3006 and select Option Seven or email mytenancy@southampton.gov.uk, and we will be happy to help – whatever your housing query.

It’s just part of how we are responding to what you told us through the Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey that was conducted earlier this year. The survey asked for your thoughts on issues including your home and neighbourhood, building safety, how we engage with residents and how we handle complaints. We’ll be publishing the full results from the survey later in 2024, but early feedback shows that contacting us was an issue for many tenants and leaseholders.

Lots of respondents said that it can be difficult to get through to the right team and requested a more convenient point of contact and a consistent service from our call handlers.

We listened to what you told us and have launched the new phone line and email address to provide a simple way for you to get in touch about anything housing related.

Look out for further updates in Tenants’ Link about other ways that we will be responding to your needs and addressing issues raised in the survey.

And remember, as well as calling or emailing us, you can also access lots of our services online 24/7 at the touch of a button, including:

Don’t worry if you didn’t complete the Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey; we are always open to your comments and suggestions. Just get in touch with your feedback or join one of the regular tenant involvement groups that work with us to improve the housing service for everyone. You can also volunteer as a Tenant Inspector to put our services under the spotlight, sign up as a Street or Block Rep to raise concerns in your neighbourhood or join your local Tenants Association.
