On this page you'll find support for families in Southampton who are struggling with the cost of living crisis.
Support for children
- If you are pregnant or have a young child, check what help you can get to buy food and milk – see Healthy Start.
- If entitled, claim free childcare for your 2 to 4 year olds
- Check if your child could get a free school meal every day
- If you have a child five years old or younger, you can visit your nearest Family Hub
School travel support
In some circumstances, your child might be able to support for their home-to-school transport. You can learn more about this scheme and who is eligible here.
If you look after someone who is sick or disabled
If you spend a lot of time looking after someone who is sick or disabled. You might be able to get extra help. Learn more about the support available on Citizens Advice.
