Leader and Chief Executive of the Council's Christmas card competition winners

Pupils from Mount Pleasant Junior School’s Art Club and Maytree Infant and Junior School took part in a Christmas card design competition for the Leader and Chief Executive of Southampton City Council to send out this year.

Pupils from Mount Pleasant Junior School’s Art Club and Maytree Infant and Junior School took part in a Christmas card design competition for the Leader and Chief Executive of Southampton City Council to send out this year.

The children were asked to get creative and design a Southampton themed Christmas card. We received many brilliant designs which made it difficult to choose a single winner from each school so two designs from each were picked.

This week the winning designers were visited by Mike Harris, the Chief Executive, and presented with a framed print of their design and a prize.

Well done to all of the pupils from Mount Pleasant Junior School’s Art Club who worked collaboratively on their designs, and to Hasarat Karimi and Hassan Abdullah Syed from Maytree Infant and Junior School! Take a look at the winning designs.
