National Careers Week 2023

National Careers Week takes place every year and is a celebration of careers advice and guidance

This year, #NCW2023 takes place from 6-11 March and is a chance to inspire people and raise awareness of their different career pathways.

What’s happening this year?

There are always loads of events taking place for National Careers Week, whether you’re a parent, student or teacher, there’s something for everyone.

• Virtual Careers Fair – the National Careers Week Virtual Careers Fair will go live on Monday 6 March and features loads of opportunities. Visit National Careers Week 2023 to find out more.
• Careers in the NHS with Health Education England – meet industry experts and find out about careers in the NHS
• Virgin Money National Careers Week Panel Event Tickets, Thu 9 Mar 2023 at 1:30pm – learn about the different and varied jobs you can have in a bank
• Careers in Conservation, Mon 6 Mar 2023 at 8:40am – delve into the world of careers in conservation and join us for a live talk with Katie, Youth Engagement Officer, Marine Conservation Society
• Careers in Economics Tickets, Thu 9 Mar 2023 at 10am – an event to showcase the exciting and varied opportunities in economics
• Careers in Cyber Tickets, Wed 8 Mar 2023 at 3:45pm – hear from a range of STEM Ambassadors currently working within the exciting world of cyber
• Strong Female Lead - International Women’s Day Tickets, Wed 8 Mar 2023 at 9:30am – There will be a great line up of inspiring women speaking to share their personal journeys and inspire the next generation of females, within the Science, Technology, Arts and Mathematics, Web Development and Property & Construction sectors
• Health and Social Care Employability Training – attend our free employability course from 6-8 March and get a guaranteed interview with a local care company

Where can I get careers advice?

Good quality careers advice is really valuable when making key decisions about your future. The good news is, there are lots of ways to get this advice.

• Speak to the careers adviser in your school, college or university
• Check out the free resources on the National Careers Week website
• Contact the National Careers Service – call 0800 100 900 to speak to an adviser, 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm Saturday and bank holidays. You can also get advice by post, email or webchat
