• PIPPA - a group of services in Southampton working to end domestic and sexual violence and abuse. You’ll find information on the website about services and projects as well as details of where get help if you are experiencing abuse
• Southampton Women's Aid - Southampton Women’s Aid is run by dedicated and passionate staff and volunteers to help women, children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse in the Southampton area
• Yellow Door (formerly Southampton Rape Crisis) - offer support to women, men, families, children and young people who have experienced issues of domestic and/or sexual abuse at any point in their lives through integrated practical and therapeutic responses
  • Yellow Door are also raising awareness about how older people can be affected by domestic abuse, specifically the over 60s age group. They are sharing messages on social media, offering free training to professionals, community sessions to the over 60s, guidance for professionals to help them support their clients and direct support for those affected using person centred advocacy support. They can support clients whose current partners, ex-partners or family members are committing the domestic abuse. This service covers Southampton. All activities delivered adhere to the COVID-19 Government Guidelines #noageforabuse

Local drug and alcohol recovery services in Southampton will now be offered jointly by The Society of St James, Solent NHS Trust, CRI and No Limits.

For people aged under 25 years

The No Limits DASH service provides help and support for young people up to the age of 25 who would like support with their drug and alcohol use.

For people aged 25 years and over

• Talk to Frank - A national drug education service – the website provides up to information about substances, side effects and a friendly confidential helpline and online chat services. You can also search for local services for help with drug and alcohol issues
• Drinkaware - Drinkaware is an independent charity who work to reduce alcohol misuse and harm in the UK. They provide evidence-based information about alcohol and work with the medical community, third sector organisations, government and the drinks industry

• Karma Nirvana - A UK registered Charity that supports victims and survivors of forced marriage and honour based abuse
• NSPCC - FGM information page including how to access help and at a glance information
• Daughters of Eve - a non profit organisation that works to advance and protect the physical, mental, sexual and reproductive health rights of  young people from female genital mutilation practising communities
• GOV.UK - UK Government information and practice guidelines for professionals protecting, advising and supporting victims

Southampton City Council

Southampton City Council Trading Standards team deal with complaints about goods and services bought in England and Wales, providing the purchase price is below that of the small claims court which is currently £10,000. They help assist people who live in Southampton who have already sought help from the Citizens Advice Bureau.

• Entitled To - Provides a calculator to provide a reliable estimate of benefit entitlements based on our in-depth knowledge of the UK’s social security system. By using their online benefits calculators, users can determine whether they are receiving the right amount in their benefit claims, whether they are eligible for other types of benefits, as well as understand what their position will be as Government welfare reforms take effect

• Solent Mind - a registered charity providing a wide range of high quality services to support people with mental health problems across the Southern Region
• Steps to Wellbeing Service - A free, confidential, NHS service, for people aged 18+. We provide a service across the county of Dorset, and in Southampton, for people registered at either a Dorset or Southampton GP surgery

VoiceAbility - Advocacy is free, independent support to involve adults in decisions about their health, care and wellbeing. An advocate is an independent professional. They can support adults to have their say and know their rights. Advocates don’t work for the council, the NHS, or care providers. When adults work with an advocate, they will keep things confidential.
