Hi, I am Teresa, nursery leader and manager for Start Point Nurseries, I have worked at Start Point Sholing for over 20 years. Since starting my role at Start Point I have completed my Foundation Degree in Early Years and BA hons in Education and Training. I love working with the teams to deliver a quality and fun environment for young children to thrive in. I also have a role as specialist leader in education with Springwell School.

My name is Mandy. I have worked at Start Point Northam nursery for the past 10 years and my role is nursery senior officer along with my role as SENDCO (special education needs and disabilities coordinator). I am Level 3 qualified and have CACHE level 2 in SENDco. I enjoy my role as SENDCO and working at Start Point Northam nursery especially as we focus on love, laughter and learning.

My name is Julie. I have worked at Start Point Northam nursery for the past 25 years and qualified to Level 3. I live in the local area and know some of the families very well. I am a key person for the red team and have an important role as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. I enjoy working at Start Point Northam nursery along with my additional roles within that.

My name is Noreen. I have been working as an Early years practitioner at Start Point Northam nursery for 9 years and qualified to Level 4. I am a keyperson for the orange team. My other roles in the setting are Healthy Early years award Lead (HEYA) and Every Child is a talker Lead (ECaT). I enjoy working at Start Point Northam nursery and doing my specific other roles.

My name is Aleksandra. I am a nursery practitioner and keyperson for the Purple team and qualified to Level 3. I also work as a 1:1 support worker, providing additional support for a child with a special educational need. Another part of my role is to support Noreen with the HEYA award – Healthy mouths which supports and encourages all children to clean their teeth in the correct manner and for parents to enrol their children into our toothbrushing program. I have worked at Start Point Northam nursery for 3 years and really enjoy working with children. It is so nice to see what they can achieve, how they grow and develop.

My name is Jayne. I have worked at StartPoint Northam for 18 years and are a keyperson for the Blue team. I am a Level 3 practitioner. Within my role as HEYA I create healthy recipes for children to do at home with yourselves and at nursery which are done with pictures and words.

My name is Rachael and I am the keyperson for the yellow team. I have worked at Start Point Northam nursery for eight years and have achieved my level 3 qualification in Childcare. My role withing HEYA is monitoring and reviewing children’s physical development and activities that are used in the nursery.

My name is Zahra and I have just started work at Start Point Northam as an apprentice for my Level 3 qualification in childcare. I am very excited to be working here as I volunteered for a long time before being offered the opportunity to become an apprentice. I am very passionate about Early years and making a difference for our little ones.

My name is Janice and I work at the nursery as an admin officer and have done so since 15 July 2015. My role is to support staff by providing them with general admin services and I provide support for parents and carers as I am able to help you apply for a place at this nursery and later apply for a school place, Tapestry, checking your child’s eligibility for 2 year funding and 30 hours funding. I am also your first point of contact on entering the nursery answering any questions you may have.
