Temper tantrums usually start when a child is around 18 months old. Hitting and biting are also common in toddlers.
This period of tantrums can last until the age of four and can be a frustrating period for parents. For tips on dealing with toddler temper tantrums, as well as handling hitting and biting, you can visit the NHS website.
If you're seriously concerned about your child's behaviour and want some support, please contact Fis@southampton.gov.uk, your health visitor or your GP.
