Southampton Children in Care Council

Who are we?

Southampton Voices Unite logoSouthampton Voices Unite (SVU) is our Children in Care Council for children aged up to 16. We meet up to talk about our views and opinions, and do fun things! We’ve recently been to Ninja Warrior, Crazy Creatures and the University of Southampton cinema!

SVU makes sure children and young people’s voices are heard by senior leaders in Southampton Children’s Services as well as getting to know other people in similar situations. We meet up online and in person twice a month, plus have special events and activities. We work closely with local organisations to try new things, gain awards, and expand our horizons.

With SVU, you can:

  • Make new friends
  • Take part in fun activities
  • Go on trips
  • Represent the views of young people
  • Gain new skills and build confidence

How to get involved?

We would love to hear from you, there are a range of ways to get involved.
