Southampton move for Paragon’s SME lending team

Paragon Bank's SME lending team has taken a step forward towards a greener future by relocating its Southampton operation to a more climate-friendly office.

The 100-plus group is moving to hybrid working on a permanent basis, allowing them to reduce their office footprint.

In the search for new premises, Paragon has also taken the opportunity to opt for an office with an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B.

The new site is located at Aviation House, near Southampton Airport.

John Phillipou, managing director of SME lending at Paragon, said: "Here at Paragon, we're very excited about the opportunities that new technology offers as we transition to a low carbon economy.

"The technology around collaborative working took a massive step forward during the pandemic and this, in turn, gives businesses everywhere the chance to re-think what they need from the office of the future.

"For us, it's all about creating a bright, collaborative and climate-friendly space where we can be more effective and creative in our everyday interaction with our customers and each other."
